Before choosing a casino it is worth choosing where you keep the coins. Two routes, neither perfect.
Straight from the exchange
The most convenient: buy and send from the same place. The drawback is that some exchanges monitor transfers to casinos and may ask questions. Your funds are also not under your control.
Self-custody wallet
Full control of your keys. You send when and where you like. In exchange, the responsibility is yours: lose the recovery phrase and no support desk can return it.
My setup
I buy on the exchange, move to my own wallet and deposit from there. It adds a step but separates gambling activity from my investment account.
Three rules I never skip
Two-factor authentication, recovery phrase stored off the computer, and always a small test transfer the first time I use a new address β see also the common mistakes.
Frequently asked questions
Can I deposit straight from an exchange?
Yes, though some restrict or monitor transfers to casinos. A self-custody wallet avoids that.
Do I need a hardware wallet?
Not for typical gambling amounts. With 2FA and a well-stored phrase you are fine.
